Polynesian Cultural Center Tamure Marathon 2014

faarapu

For those who still have the endurance to shake it Tahitian-style,

the Polynesian Cultural Center is putting on the:

Tamure Marathon
June 20 & 27, 5:30 p.m.
July 5, 7:30 a.m.

PCC Tahitian Village

as part of our 15th annual Te Mahana Hiro’a Tumu o Tahiti cultural festival.

That’s right, think of this as three three-hour sessions of original Polynesian

zumba, led by PCC’s top dancers and alumni . . . to the can’t-stop-dancing

     beat of Tahitian drums.

Beginners welcome: We’ll have the women doing the faarapu hip movements

and the men’s knee-scissoring paoti in quick order. You probably want to

bring your own pareo (sarong or lavalava).

There is a $10 per person registration fee. Call the Box Office at 808-293-3333

(or toll free from the US mainland and Canada, 1-800-367-7060.)
